Digital systems for NGOs and development programmes

M&E dashboards, donor reporting and field data collection, built for teams working where the signal is weakest and the reporting deadline does not move.

What usually goes wrong

The programme works. Proving it is what costs you weekends.

The delivery is rarely the problem. Producing the evidence, in the donor’s own format, by the date in the grant agreement, is. These are the four we are called in to fix.

Field data arrives late, by WhatsApp

Enumerators work where there is no signal, so nothing can be submitted on the spot. Figures get photographed, forwarded and retyped, and the errors enter at the retyping.

Every report is rebuilt from scratch

Indicators are recalculated by hand each quarter from four spreadsheets, and two versions of the same figure never quite agree.

Personal data collected without a basis

Names, ID numbers and phone numbers gathered in the field with no privacy notice, no retention rule and no record of consent. The Data Protection Act applies to NGOs too.

The donor wants a format nobody can produce

The reporting template changes, the export does not, and somebody spends three days reshaping a spreadsheet the system should have produced.

What we build for this sector

Systems that produce the report, not just the data.

Offline-first field collection

Captured on a phone with no signal, queued on the device, and synced when the enumerator reaches town.

Indicator frameworks

Each number defined once, with its inclusions and exclusions written down, so two people get the same answer.

M&E dashboards

The figures programme managers act on, current, rather than assembled the week before a board meeting.

Scheduled donor exports

The quarterly return generated in the donor’s own format, in minutes rather than days.

Data protection implementation

Lawful basis, consent capture and retention, applied to the forms your field teams already use.

Beneficiary registries

One record per person, de-duplicated, with an audit trail of who changed what and when.
